| PRODUCT OVERVIEW AND INSTALLATION
PROCESS
All
the fencing and security parts supplied are of the highest available
quality and meet with the imposed standards. When the security
fencing installation is started the poles are first fitted, corner
poles are usually of a stronger material. Stay support poles are
fitted to keep the corner poles straight and also to stop the
pole from pulling over due to the tension on the wires. The poles
are checked for straightness several times throughout the process.
The wire used is either braided galvinised, solid stainless steel
(imported from Sweden) or high tensile double galvanised wire
for high strength and long life. The wire comes in various diameters
and the thickness is determined by the specific type of application.
Electerrific use bolts as opposed to screws for fitting
the poles on. All the hardware is painted to minimize rusting,
first with a good quality primer and later with the same colour
as the pole. The poles are powder coated to the ISO 9002 specification
for long life. We offer a number of different coloured poles unlike
most of the companies that will only supply black or white. The
wiring is usually done in “series”, which gives a
positive alarm should the wire be cut. As we use this method for
our installations we use a minimum of six wires as opposed to
four or five wires which can regularly be seen for example on
complexes.
Again
we specialize in security fencing and a four or five wire fence
is not considered as adequate protection for your security by
our company. (We have fitted as many as twenty nine wires. This
would be for an electric fence starting from the ground upwards,
also depending on the level of security required). We use a number
of different types of energizer, again dependant on the application,
we are not restricted to one type. For houses we would normally
use a single zone type and for large areas such as factories and
superb division a multi-zoned unit. This unit would indicate a
specific section where the fence alarm has been triggered. It
is also a standard practice of the company to fit more than one
energizer for high security areas. At the joints along the wire
we use furrels for good conductivity/continuity, should the wire
be merely wrapped around each other then after a while the electric
fence will start to loose its power due to corrosion. Likewise
at the sliding gates we always fit gate switches, this is to give
a positive contact and unlike a lot of companies we do not just
wrap a piece of wire around the lower gate wire which will eventually
cause it to break. Also the gates are fitted with square poles
for strength and aesthetics. The gate opens together with the
electric security fence and therefore large vehicles can still
enter the premises.
We go more than the extra mile, unfortunately there is simply
far too much information to put down here. Just look at one
of our installations and then compare it to the others!
